Job Title: Reservation Specialist
Location: Iowa

Reports To: Stefanie Chrisman, Area Manager
Overview
The Reservation Specialist supports Beyonder Camp Sleepy Hollow’s guest experience by handling inbound inquiries, managing bookings, and ensuring accurate, efficient reservations. This role is the front line for guest interactions and works closely with front desk, sales, and operations to optimize occupancy and deliver a seamless guest journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to guest inquiries via phone, email, and live chat with a friendly, service-oriented approach.
  • Manage reservations in the property management system (PMS) or channel manager, including new bookings, changes, cancellations, and upgrades.
  • Verify guest details, collect payments or deposits, and ensure accuracy of billing and policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of camp offerings, rates, policies, and local attractions to provide accurate information and upsell experiences or add-ons.
  • Coordinate with front desk, housekeeping, and activities teams to align room/shuttle schedules, maintenance needs, and guest expectations.
  • Monitor occupancy, availability, and revenue opportunities; generate daily/weekly occupancy and revenue reports.
  • Handle group bookings and large party reservations in collaboration with sales/events teams.
  • Resolve guest issues or complaints promptly and professionally, documenting outcomes for follow-up.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and accessibility guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in reservations, hospitality, or a customer-facing role.
  • Proficiency with reservation systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational ability; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible scheduling: ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Basic math, cash handling, and credit card processing skills.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
