Each interaction with workshop participants, faculty and fellow staff members, creates the Omega experience.  Job Description Campus Arts Coordinator: non-exempt, full-time; on average 35 hours per week. Reports to Senior Director of Creative & Art Curator. Summary Holistic Education Programs creates and supports the many educational programs for community, as well as maintains an overall commitment to maintaining an atmosphere of community on campus through the Art Hut, Open Mics, Movie Nights, etc. Holistic Education Programs is also responsible for overseeing the Hermitage Program and the Core Faculty Optional classes for the participants and staff. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Offer 28 hours per week (daytime and evening) of Open Studio creative programming in the Art Hut. * Provide 6 hours per week of support to the Sr. Director of Creative, assisting with participant art. sessions, curated campus exhibits, and other pop-up creative experiences throughout the season. * Meet with Media Design team weekly for quick check-ins. * Create a welcoming, inspiring ambiance in the Art Hut and support staff in their creative process. * Keep art materials clean, organized, and accurately inventoried and stored in both the Art Hut and in Juniper Classroom. * Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Creative to determine appropriate art supply purchases. * Keep the Art Hut free of clutter and complete weekly cleaning tasks (sweeping, wiping down surfaces, lining tables with clean paper, etc.). * Create and host Staff Arts & Crafts Fair(s), including: * Securing event dates in consultation with Operations and the Café Manager * Requesting event setup through Production * Processing staff art vendor request forms * Coordinating with Staff Programs to promote the fair(s) * Host an “Art-n-Lunch” at least once per week outside the Staff Lounge. * Be present for and support events held in the Art Hut (Game Night, Movies, Open Mic, etc.). * In collaboration with the Sr. Director of Creative, curate and coordinate 4 staff artwork exhibits displayed in the Café, including: * Soliciting staff artwork * Curating submissions for alignment with Omega’s creative vision * Delivering exhibit details for promotion to Media Design * Using pre-designed templates create artist/artwork/pricing list for Operations and Café * Ensuring safe storage, curation, installation, and removal of artwork * Support Omega’s Media Design Team at participant art classes on Wednesdays from 12:30–5:00 PM, including: * Confirming Production setup * Preparing individual art stations * Assuring materials supply * Assisting faculty during class * Returning supplies to Juniper storage and inventorying materials * Attend weekly meetings. * Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Work Details * This position functions on the Omega campus. * This is a full-time position, 35 hours a week. Staff are expected to work night and weekend shifts. Physical Requirements * Ability to occasionally move items that weigh 20 pounds (occasionally, 30-50 pounds) for various needs. * Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of the time. * Ability to traverse a hilly campus in diverse weather conditions. * Ability to position self to perform diverse job tasks as necessary. * Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. * Ability to work in a constant sate of alertness and safe manner.  * Ability to observe details at close range. Required Experience/Qualities  * Previous experience facilitating creative spaces, and teaching art classes (preferred). * Energetic self-starter, and visionary, with the ability to work independently. * Ability to work evenings and weekends (required). * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Hospitality oriented.  * Timely, reliable, and service oriented individual. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Team Player. * Alignment with Omega’s mission, goals and core values. Responsibilities
