POSITION SUMMARY:

The Campus Ministry and Catholic Identity Leader fosters the spiritual growth of the Bishop Dunne community by leading worship celebrations, retreats, service programs, and pastoral outreach. This role requires a practicing Catholic with a strong personal faith life and a deep understanding of Catholic education and youth ministry. The position is ideal for someone who brings energy, compassion, and leadership to Catholic formation while serving as a role model of integrity and service.
This is a full-time onsite position that reports directly to the Assistant Principal of Formation and the President.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in campus or youth ministry strongly preferred
  • Experience teaching Catholic theology or another academic discipline preferred
  • Previous work in Catholic school or parish setting is a plus

Responsibilities
  • Lead and organize all school liturgies, including weekly Mass and special prayer services.
  • Coordinate logistics such as presiders, readers, volunteers, and Eucharistic ministers.
  • Develop and facilitate after-school Campus Ministry programs and events for students.
  • Serve as liaison with local parishes and youth groups; plan collaborative events to establish Bishop Dunne as a hub for youth ministry in southern Dallas.
  • Organize student participation in Right to Life activities, including March for Life (local and national).
  • Lead service initiatives, grade-level retreats, and optional mission or pilgrimage trips.
  • Collaborate with theology faculty and other departments on cross-curricular initiatives promoting social justice and Catholic values.
  • Mentor and support student leaders involved in ministry, prayer, and outreach.
  • Attend diocesan ministry meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Teach theology or another academic course each semester and substitute teach when needed.
  • Participate in new student orientation and admissions events to promote Catholic identity.
  • Serve as a representative of Bishop Dunne’s mission at community and board events.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Assistant Principal of Formation and the President.
