Allied Universal is seeking Campus Security Associate in Downtown Toronto, for a renowned financial instituation.
Location: Downtown Toronto
Job Title: Campus Security Associate, Level 1
Job Type: Full-Time - 0700-1900, Continental Rotating Shifts (84 Hours Biweekly).
Pay Rate: $22/hr - $24/hr. with incremental increases based on tenure, performance and completion of courses.
Overview:
Allied Universal is currently hiring a Campus Security Associate (Level 1) to provide professional, front-line security services for a prestigious financial institution in Downtown Toronto. This full-time role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a background in corporate security.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Have at least 1 year of security experience in a Class A Commercial/Corporate Environment is preferred.
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
  • Licensing requirements are subject to province and/or local laws and regulations and will be required prior to employment.
  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background check
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

Responsibilities
  • Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
  • Incident response, patrols and inspections of space and equipment
  • Liaise with Corporate security program in compound incident response
  • Staff and guest information assistance as required;
  • Record activities and incidents via guard tour management system
  • Walk-safe program for employees working after hours
  • Cross training in other security positions as required (e.g. card holder administration assistance, lobby ambassador coverage PSSC break relief).
  • Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
  • Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies
  • Demonstrate good judgment, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
