JOB DESCRIPTION
Allied Universal is seeking Campus Security Associate in Downtown Toronto, for a renowned bank.
- Title- Campus Security Associate
- Shifts - continental nights 7pm-7am
- Pay rate- starting pay rate from $22.33 to $25.36 per hour
- Pay rate for Level 1- $22.33; Level 2- $23.35; Level 3- 24.36 & Level 4- $25.36.
- Salary Increase: After 6-12 months, hourly rate increases
Job Summary:
The Campus Security Associate is responsible for patrolling the site, ensuring the safety and security of property and individuals. This role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to respond quickly to incidents. Ideal candidates are adaptable and have experience in responsible positions.
Requirements:
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically;
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships of trust with internal and external clients;
- Adaptable and able to learn new software applications/programs quickly and effectively;
- Strong time-management, and the ability to prioritize and manage their own work to ensure quality and efficiency (i.e. meet deadlines; be flexible in adjusting to changing work priorities, etc.);
- Participate fully as a member of the team and contributing to a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- The Campus Security Associate will monitor the various security systems and applications from an advanced security office on site.
- This role will also work to dispatch resources as needed.
- Will be responsible for intake, triage and escalate all types of incidents reported to the center, with the assistance of the Supervisor.
- The Associate will also be responsible for documentation and data entry, monitoring various systems and responding to e-mail and telephone calls in a professional and timely manner.
- Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
- Incident response, patrols and inspections of space and equipment
- Liaise with Corporate security program in compound incident response
- Staff and guest information assistance as required;
- Record activities and incidents via guard tour management system
- Walk-safe program for employees working after hours
- Cross training in other security positions as required (e.g. card holder administration assistance, lobby ambassador coverage).
- Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
- Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies
- Demonstrate good judgment, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
