Each interaction with workshop participants, faculty and fellow staff members, creates the Omega experience.  Job Description Campus Support Supervisor: non-exempt, full-time; on average 35 hours per week. Reports to Assistant Director of Campus Operations. Summary  The Campus Support Department is located in Omega’s parking lot where team members greet arriving and departing guests, staff, and faculty. Duties include parking facilitation, luggage transport; organize on-site Omega transportation services, dorm kit sales, and providing individual logistical support. Campus Support also coordinates with Reception, Guest Services, and Faculty Support in order to provide effective customer service. Campus Support staff ensure luggage is labeled correctly in order for it to be delivered to and from the parking lot in an efficient manner. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Greet all arriving and departing guests. * Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage. * Clear understanding of Campus Support Luggage System. * Organize luggage accordingly and transport to the corresponding location. * Organize luggage accordingly so guest’s luggage is organized and easy to find. * Retrieve, set up, and organize all housing and transportation reports. * Retrieve and set up cash box and credit card machine. * Ensure the dorm kit cash box and credit card machine are closed out at the end of each transition day.  * Strong communications skills. * Knowledge of the Omega campus. * Provide customer service assistance. * Trustworthy attitude to ensure guests luggage is handled with care. * Coordinate Omega Transportation services with Reception, guests, and drivers to ensure all registered users are accounted for.  * Assist guests with directions. * Replenish luggage tags. * Omega vehicle maintenance. * Ensure the parking lot and platforms are clean. * Other duties as required by the Campus Manager. Supervisory Responsibility  The Supervisor is responsible for exhibiting strong leadership skills and is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming and professional atmosphere for greeting Omega's guests as they arrive. It is the Supervisor's responsibility to work with the team to create an enjoyable, welcoming and professional work environment and to ensure that the department's operations are running smoothly and that any issues are addressed and corrected. * Comprehensive understanding of Campus Support operations. * Welcome new staff members to the team with department orientation and team introduction. * Supervise staff and assign tasks to each team member to ensure all areas of the operation are functioning optimally. * Attend the weekly Operations Meeting. * Prepare weekly department schedules including the assignment of lunch and dinner breaks. * Ability to receive complaints skillfully and openly. * Coordinate with People & Culture to request additional help needed and to offer any unscheduled hours from Campus Support team members back to other departments. * Provide regular feedback to team members and find ways to express appreciation. * Complete Seasonal Staff Performance Evaluations. * Take care of the Campus Support area and parking lot to make sure that the area is clean, in order, well maintained and that all the equipment is functioning properly. * Keep the department stocked up with all the supplies necessary:  pens, sharpies, early arrival stickers, tape, bags, rags, area maps, faculty parking signs, car wash soap and window cleaner, etc. * Monitor the condition of the Omega vans and of the Campus Support golf carts and trailers. * Ensure that the department has enough dorm kits for each Transition day. Work Details * This position functions on the Omega campus. * This is a full-time position, 35 hours a week. * Omega Staff t-shirts will be provided and must be worn when working in guest areas. * Closed-toe shoes are required. * All work hours are performed outdoors. Physical Requirements * Ability to constantly work in outdoor weather conditions. * Ability to frequently move items that weigh 50 pounds for various needs. * Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. * Ability to traverse a hilly campus in diverse weather conditions. * Ability to position self to perform diverse job tasks as necessary. * Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. * Ability to observe details at close range Required Experience/Qualities  * Customer Service oriented. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Good leadership skills, ability to give direction and assign tasks to teammates and ability to set boundaries.  Previous leadership experience is preferred. * A competent, compassionate, and supportive attitude of service is required to be fully present during the prolonged hours of consistent guest interactions. * Ability to learn, execute and supervise a unique luggage delivery system in order to consistently deliver all entrusted luggage accurately and in a timely manner. * Physical strength and ability to repeatedly lift, carry, and move several pieces of luggage and heavy items for several hours continuously - some items weight more than 50 lbs. Team members must be able to load and unload luggage in and out of mini-vans, golf carts, and a pick-up truck, as well as carry them up and down flights of stairs, many times during the day. * Ability and willingness to work outside for extended hours in diverse weather conditions including extreme heat, torrential rain, storms, extreme cold during shoulder seasons and beautiful sunshine. * Accountability and a solid sense of responsibilities. The Supervisor is responsible for all Campus Support operations * Very good sense of organization and attention to detail. * Ability to perceive when a guest needs help or what needs to be done next and willingness to follow through and take action without being told. * Timely, reliable, and service oriented individual. * Team Player. * Valid Driver’s License, and good driving record. Ability to drive standard transmission vehicles is a bonus. * Ability to operate vehicles safely, courteously and with a cautious attitude to maintain highest sense of safety while driving vehicles in crowded areas on campus and in the parking lot * Alignment with Omega’s Mission, Goals and Core Values.
