DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Director of Admission, the Campus Visit Manager is primarily responsible to work directly with prospective students, their parents, the University of Mount Union faculty and coaching staff, and all visitors to the Gartner Welcome Center. The Campus Visit Manager must be able to energetically and enthusiastically serve the division of Enrollment Services, including the Office of Admission, the Office of International Recruitment and Admission, the Manager of Graduate Admission, the Office of Student Financial Services when needed, the Vice President of Enrollment Services when needed, as well as the staff, faculty and the general public.
Working in a highly confidential environment, the Campus Visit Manager maintains high standards of personal integrity, honesty and character. They are dedicated to assisting the Office in advancing the University in a resource efficient manner.
The candidate must have excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills; demonstrated experience in the successful completion of multiple projects and responsibilities; and interest and willingness to be part of the Admissions team.
This person is expected to exercise judgment and to make decisions considered appropriate and necessary to provide the designated services, consulting with the Director of Admission on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the campus visit experience of prospective students, families, groups and other visitors scheduling or coming through the Gartner Welcome Center (GWC).
  • Manage the scheduling of individual and group visits, including reservations, related communication and the successful execution of the visit.
  • Coordinate and carry out the Raider for a Day shadowing visit experience, including the hiring and scheduling of student workers.
  • Participate in and assist with recruitment events including visit days and scholarship competitions.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of the Student Ambassador staff.
  • Maintain visit reports and awareness of visit comparison data, reporting to supervisor.
  • Assist the Assistant Director for Athletic Recruitment and Development with the execution of athletic visits, as necessary, including printed materials and tour guides.
  • Assess, report upon, and improve the effectiveness of the campus visit experience. Propose and implement innovative and appropriate visit techniques, strategies, experiences, and technologies to enhance the visit experience.
  • Effectively communicate with the Enrollment Services Coordinator, admission staff, and campus community on pertinent visit information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is required and prior experience in admission and/or higher education is preferred. The candidate must have excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills; demonstrated experience in the successful completion of multiple projects and responsibilities; and interest and willingness to be part of the Admissions team. The successful candidate must have the necessary skills to effectively utilize the administrative computer systems, such as Slate and Microsoft Office products.
