Description:

Project Description:
The main goal is to find candidates who have previous experience working on cross functional teams to identify the right problems to solve, prioritize those problems, identify success metrics (definition of success for the solution), identify a research plan to investigate a feasible solution that can achieve these success metrics, identify or create the data required to run the experiment, set up and run the experiments required to prove out the idea, communicate those results with the cross functional team and leadership, and iteratively adjust approach until we achieve a viable solution; then they should be able to deliver this solution in partnership with the engineers on our teams. They should also have experience introducing product analytics and working with UXR teams to investigate the effectiveness of their solutions post release to production so that they can identify how successful their solution is and then iterate on it.
This could involve developing novel approaches or improving on existing approaches. Experience with python is required. Experience working on production level systems alongside of product teams should be a requirement. (I am not keen on hiring scientists that only have experience with pure research - they should have some experience delivering these solutions. They don’t need to be the ones doing the engineering work to deliver the solutions but they need to have had experience working alongside of these engineers to deliver their solutions.) Experience working with some cloud compute provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) should be a requirement with a preference for those candidates that have experience on AWS.
