The Cancer MDT Co-ordinator Team in the Division of Surgery at University Hospitals Bristol is a busy department providing administrative and data services to surgical departments across the division. The role is to ensure patients are tracked throughout their cancer pathway, are treated in a timely fashion, meeting national targets and co-ordinate the weekly MDT meetings. Responsibility for ensuring patients move smoothly and in a timely fashion along their cancer pathway is another key component. This involves working closely with other departments to ensure appointments and investigations are arranged in a timely fashion.

The post holder will have a pivotal role in enabling the Trust and individual cancer teams to deliver a high standard of care and communication throughout the pathway. Effective tracking of the pathways will also facilitate the Trust in achieving National Cancer Waiting Times Standards, National Cancer Peer Review Measures and other appropriate standards.
