About the Role:
The Mobile Security Guard position is responsible for ensuring that all activities occurring on the client’s property are in accordance with client’s needs as well as all Cancom Security Inc. policies and procedures. In addition, the stationary security guard is required to address and properly document anything, which may be of concern to the client as well as, any other parties of interest. The stationary security guard is exposed to and utilizes confidential information on a daily basis, as such the stationary security guard must maintain confidentiality at all times during and after cessation of employment to protect the interest of the business, clients and relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle care and maintenance as per standard operating procedures and company policies.

Vehicle logs must be completed as per standard operating procedures and company policies.

• Maintain knowledge and understanding of all post orders, policies and procedures for each respective site of assignment/coverage/response.
• Emergency Response, Access Control, Coaching, training and mentoring.
• Complete reports accurately and within the specified timeframe according to standard operating procedures.
• Always adhere to the uniform requirements standard for the respective site/assignment.
• Adhere to all Cancom Security Inc. policies and procedures and the chain of command.
• Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with local law enforcement.

Education Experience and Related Requirements:

• REQUIRED British Columbia Security Workers License
• REQUIRED Valid CPR & First Aid Level C (AED Certification)
• REQUIRED BC Class 5 Drivers License
• REQUIRED Clear drivers abstract (ICBC)
• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to multitask, work under pressure and adapt to change
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of emotional intelligence and strong customer service

Working Conditions
Sitting, standing or walking applied for extended periods of time. Working conditions generally entail 8 or 12 hour evening and midnight shifts, but may be subject to alteration. Mental and physical stress may be incurred. One may be exposed to adverse weather conditions, high tenant/traffic volume, and emergency and alarm response; these are usually medium/high threat levels with a low crime rate and complexity. The possibility of limited availability of food and beverages exists. Employee breaks may be interrupted, possible harassment while in uniform exists, and spontaneous shift extension and discomforts during emergency situations. There exists a more intense scrutiny for higher standards of
performance, smaller margin for error, potential exposure to more complex security systems and a more sophisticated work environment. The individual must be able to handle directions from more than one person, be highly accountable for his/her actions, be able to work closely within a team, and may have to remain on site with short notice.
