Job Description The Candidate Architect serves as a developing professional in an architectural design team, developing and finalising work on specific elements of a project under the direction and supervision of a Senior Architect or designated senior team member. Technical Excellence Architectural design, BIM modelling and drawing production, ensuring compliance with Design Briefs, completeness and accuracy Design co-ordination within Architecture and across all disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery Production of technical documentation, specifications and construction details in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements Quality assurance and peer review of design work to maintain professional standards and project consistency Collaboration and Communication Liaison with project stakeholders, consultants and contractors to facilitate effective communication and resolve design-related queries Participation in design team meetings and site visits to support project progression and site co-ordination activities Preparation of presentation materials and support for client presentations under senior guidance Professional Development Engagement with mentoring from Senior Architects to develop technical expertise and professional competency Contribution to sustainable design principles and compliance with building regulations and environmental standards Maintenance of professional development records and continued learning in line with SACAP requirements Qualifications 1-2 years relevant experience post qualification as a Junior Architect MArch - Masters of Architecture (Preferably) Registered with SACAP as Candidate Architect Additional Information At AECOM, you will have freedom to grow in a world of opportunity At AECOM, our Freedom to Grow philosophy supports flexibility and balance to help our people thrive.
