COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Carlton Hydrotherapy Centre based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Our purpose built centre boasts a 5.2 meter by 2 meter heated hydrotherapy pool with water jets, a Techniks Hydro-Physio Underwater Treadmill, with inclining floor and K-Laser
We work closely with our local and specialist orthopaedic veterinary surgeons and provide tailor made rehabilitation programmes for all small animals, treating many different medical conditions both pre or post surgery, or conservative management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Only those with a genuine interest in working with animals will be considered. Candidates should have a minimum of the Level 3 Small Animal Hydrotherapy qualification or working towards or be a fully qualified veterinary nurse.
Your daily responsibilities for a Canine Hydrotherapist include:
· Carrying out initial consultations and treatments both Hydrotherapy and K-Laser
· Creating and carrying out a treatment plan
· Providing advice on medical conditions relevant to hydrotherapy
· Accurate documentation of treatments carried out
· Report writing
· Taking due care and maintenance of pool, treadmill and office equipment and report faults or damages
· Pool and water management and maintenance
· Liaising with Veterinary Centres
· Ensuring correct referral procedures are in place and up to date prior to treatments
· Carrying out health checks on animals prior to treatments
· Dealing with customer enquiries via; telephone, text, email
· Making and altering bookings
· Sending and receiving fax communications and emails and attachments
· Showering animal pre and post session
· Monitoring, updating and responding to social media sites
· Comply with all CHA Quality Standards when carrying out treatment appointments
· Managing and monitoring the workload and tasks of other hydrotherapists, apprentices, weekend helpers or work experience staff
· Be responsible for general health and safety
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: From £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 38 per week
