Reporting to the VP of Brand Development, The Farmgate Manager will be responsible for managing the site’s Farmgate Retail location. Primary accountabilities are management and hiring of retail employees, vendor relations, budgeting, marketing and promotions, procurement and financial accounting of all sales and purchases. The successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive in their approach to consumer engagement, exhibit a strong understanding of cannabis consumer trends in the recreational market.
Key Accountabilities: Total Management and Oversight of the Retail Location
- Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of the Cannabis Farmgate store.
- Manage staff and assign duties.
- Oversight of all necessary compliance and reporting
- Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors’ operations on sales.
- Determine merchandise and services to be sold and implement price and credit policies.
- Source and negotiate with vendors when necessary to procure trade marketing assets and in store activations.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies.
- Plan budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues.
- Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues.
- Address staffing requirements, including the hiring, development, and retention of staff.
- Complete regular key metric reports.
- Ensure all regulatory submissions are completed accurately and on time.
- Be responsible for the Social Media aspects of the Farmgate Store.
Requirements & Experience
- Two or more years of experience as a Manager of a Licensed Retail Cannabis Store within the province of British Columbia
- Must have current Selling it Right Certification
- Must be fluent with Point-of-Sale software for cannabis retail.
- Strong and current knowledge of the British Columbia Cannabis Regulations with regards to Production Retail Store/Retail Cannabis Store
- Must be flexible on days of the week availability
- Proficient in MS Office Suite software (Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
