QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Process Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certifications in Cannabis Production, GMP, or Lean Manufacturing are a plus – experience working in a regulated industry a plus
  • Retail experience and CPG experience (consumer packaged goods)
  • A strong working knowledge of safety regulations related to the business
  • Project management skills
  • Advanced knowledge in software packages appropriate to the business
  • Employee training skills and knowledge
  • Leadership abilities to mentor and coach employees and boost morale
  • Security clearance holder asset
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cannabis production, and will be responsible for ensuring in specification product manufacturing, maintaining high-quality standards, and managing a dynamic team. This role combines technical expertise with strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure the successful production of cannabis products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, supervise, and develop a team of production staff across various departments (e.g., bulk production, blending, filling, labelling, shipping).
  • Provide training, performance feedback, and support to foster a positive, high-performing team culture.
  • Address and resolve any staffing, equipment, or production challenges that arise.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to best practices, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on production metrics, quality control issues, inventory levels, and staffing to senior management.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all production processes, including workflows, inspection reports, and corrective actions.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve production workflows to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize yield.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and other industry best practices to improve throughput while maintaining quality.
  • Identify opportunities for automation or process upgrades to improve overall production efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging supplies, and equipment to minimize downtime.
