CANDIDATE SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive knowledge of cannabis products and accessories is essential
  • Experience in retail sales and customer service with preference given to those with experience working in cannabis
  • Experience with inventory management a plus
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willing and able to work in a team environment
  • Capable of easily self-starting tasks and seeking out projects to keep productive during shifts
  • Willing to work flexible hours including mornings/evening, weekends and holidays
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with Point of Sales systems is an asset
  • Must be at least 19 years of age or older
  • Open to feedback and eager to improve
  • The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and CannSell certification before their first shift.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and ensure they have proper ID
  • Assist customers with cannabis related questions, educate them on responsible uses and practices, and make informed suggestions and product recommendations
  • Prepare in-store and online customer orders, review inventory counts and assist with back of house support
  • Process cash, debit and credit transactions on a Point of Sale system (Greenline)
  • Support and participate in store opening and closing procedures, including but not limited to restocking, general housekeeping, and end of day reports
  • Ensure store is clean and tidy by maintaining exceptional housekeeping throughout the day
  • Must be willing to stay up to date with new product knowledge and developments in the cannabis industry
  • Adhere to company policies & procedures
  • Adhere to all federal, provincial and municipal legislative requirements of cannabis retailers
  • All other duties as assigned by store management
