JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities, utilising both mechanical and electrical knowledge. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, as you will be interacting with various stakeholders to address their needs effectively. The ideal candidate will possess leadership qualities, mechanical and electrical sills and the ability to supervise tasks while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a facilities maintenance role or similar position is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, including logic controllers, is essential.
  • Experience in welding is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and logical thinking skills are required.
  • Proficiency in English is necessary for communication purposes, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and other facility infrastructure.
  • Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate tasks to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests from staff and management.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with external contractors for specialised repairs or installations as needed.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules to prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
