Are you ready to make an impact at one of London’s leading Further Education providers? Capital City College is looking for a supportive and enthusiastic Canteen Assistant to support our hospitality department, helping shape the future of education in the heart of London.
About the Role
This role is offered on an hourly paid basis.

As a Canteen Assistant you will support the smooth and efficient operation of the College canteen, ensuring a high standard of food preparation, service, and hygiene. The role contributes to creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for learners, staff, and visitors, in line with the College’s values. You will be required to:

  • Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of hot and cold food and beverages.
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
  • Operate tills and handle cash/card transactions in line with College financial procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across all food preparation, serving, and dining areas.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated individual who takes pride in delivering excellent service. You should bring:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Confidence working with systems and processes, including experience in customer service, food and hygiene.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Experience in a similar -based role is desirable
