Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a friendly and dedicated Canteen Assistant to join our team at Macphie. As a crucial part of our food services department, you will assist in the daily operations of our staff canteen, ensuring that our employees receive nutritious and delicious meals in a welcoming environment. Your role will involve food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks in line with our menu standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the canteen area, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of food service areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations.
  • Engage with staff and provide excellent customer service to enhance their experience.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, including food ordering and record-keeping.
  • Support the team in daily tasks and any catering events as required.
