About the RoleThe Capability Manager – Data, BI & AI is a senior leadership role responsible for the performance, growth, and commercial outcomes of COSOL's Data, BI, and AI capability. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and customer engagement — you'll own the development of the capability area, lead a team of BI developers, consultants, analysts, and technical BAs, and play an active role in business development and client relationships.

  • What You'll DoSolution Portfolio DevelopmentOwn and develop the Data, BI, and AI strategy and solutions in line with business strategy, customer, and market needs
  • Work with capability leads across COSOL to ensure the right solutions are available to clients
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for growth and innovation within the capability
  • Oversee delivery of solutions to our customer base on time and within agreed margin
  • Customer EngagementLead relationship development with assigned customer accounts
  • Support business development through technical input and solution design
  • Work with sales and marketing to position capability offerings and grow pipeline
  • Collaborate with other capability leads to offer combined asset solutions to customers
  • People LeadershipManage the performance, development, and wellbeing of your permanent team
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and development planning
  • Drive utilisation outcomes aligned to revenue targets
  • Ensure team skills stay current in this fast-moving technology space
  • Commercial AccountabilityOwn revenue and utilisation performance of the team against financial year targets
  • Monitor non-billable activity to ensure it's directed toward value-adding development
  • Oversee timesheet accuracy and timeliness for permanent resources
  • Pre-Sales & Business DevelopmentContribute to presales activities including solution design, scoping, and proposal development
  • Represent capability strengths in client conversations
  • Ensure alignment between customer requirements and delivery capability


  • What You'll BringBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or related field — or equivalent industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in capability management or solution leadership
  • Strong technical background aligning solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance outcomes
  • Commercial experience with a track record in meeting revenue and utilisation targets
  • Experience working with customers across a range of account types
  • Strong communicator and collaborator across technical and commercial teams
