We’re looking for a Capability Manager to lead our Technical Training team and deliver practical, high impact training and competency programmes for our field teams and technical workforce.
In this role, you’ll lead a team of committed Technical Advisors, manage workflows and provide guidance to ensure consistent delivery of technical training initiatives. You’ll also work closely with key internal stakeholders and external partners, from industry training organisations to private training providers to co-design programmes that accelerate readiness, enhance technical skills, and align with Northpower’s operational goals.

You’ll play an important role in building career pathways, delivering our successful Northpower cadetships, and developing programmes that prepare our people for the future while promoting safe, consistent, and quality work practices across the business.

  • Lead the design and delivery of training pathways for technical trades.
  • Manage Northpower cadetships, trade pipelines, and development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to assess capability needs across regions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with training partners, ITOs, and industry bodies
  • Monitor learner progress, pastoral care, and training effectiveness
  • Provide coaching services to our skilled technical workforce and front-line leaders
  • Drive continuous improvement in training processes and learner experience
  • Support strategic frameworks to enhance performance and engagement
