Description Position Summary: This role shall be a critical part in defining an UpToDate capacity planning process and drive this process throughout the organization. The Spares Capacity Planner is responsible for coordinating and scheduling the spare part, spare assembly and modification kits on time delivery to all RECARO customers by releasing both spares assembly orders and modification kits orders in SAP and ensuring all components needed are on time in order to meet scheduled delivery dates for spare parts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned: Set up capacity planning function and drive the mind set within the group Coordinate the departments of the group (e.g. Purchasing, MRP, Logistics, Quality, etc.) to ensure all components needed are on time in order to meet scheduled delivery dates Define and track capacities within the group to enable proper capacity planning Prepare 90-60-30 day outlooks for on time deliveries Control Order Book vs. Capacity Forecasts and plans capacity requirements to ensure alignment with department or unit and determine variance from production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand Recommends process and equipment improvements to optimize production capabilities Determine lead times for both assemblies and mod kits (based on the longest lead time items in the BOM) Determine variance from production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand. Investigate and resolve any problems that arise pertaining spare parts, spare assemblies and mod kits. Organize, prepare and run daily Spares Shop Floor Meeting in coordination with Spares Coordinators Run shortage report on a regular basis and initiate appropriate actions Interact with customers and suppliers as required. Participate in special projects as required. Working closely with service coordinators to ensure customer needs are met. Requirements Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree is required; Business, Supply Chain or Engineering preferred 4 years of production planning or capacity planning experience with an Associate’s degree can be in lieu of Bachelor’s degree Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook SAP and MRP experience required. Teamcenter experience preferred but not required. Previous customer service experience Familiarity of Lean Manufacturing a plus Strong SAP skills are mandatory Knowledge of production processes and quality control Technical skills using material requirements planning and scheduling software Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of employees Organizational and time-management skills Deadline driven
