Description

Team Info: Microsoft FDnE business operations team, oversees Microsoft’s revenue reporting process, collaborating with source data partners, business users to address data or functional issues. They are responsible for overseeing the entire end-to-end process of revenue publishing, pinpointing and resolving data and code issues in collaboration with the technical team. The business operations team not only manages reporting but also engages in functional and code testing of new features, play a crucial role in educating external users, addressing their queries, and ensuring a clear understanding of the processes. The team conducts thorough data analysis to guarantee the precision and efficiency of reporting procedures.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work with Finance Managers and other business partners to develop the project roadmap and the product backlog.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on best practices in discussions about data governance, data privacy and data security.
  • Lead data engineers and data analysts in implementing complex data initiatives, ensuring data pipelines meet both business and technical objectives.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication with stakeholders to align on project updates, risk management , and deliver results within deadlines.

REQUIRED SKILL SET:

  • Writing Queries; Developing quality audits
  • Exposure to PowerBI and Excel (VBA, Lookups, pivots, etc.)
  • Experience working on project management tools like Azure DevOps (ADO), JIRA, etc.
  • Experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF) , Azure Sql Server , Azure Synapse Analytics , Azure Semantic Models, Tabular Model , PySpark (Azure Notebooks) , Power BI , DAX , T-SQL.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in Agile environment, deal with ambiguity and critical thinking to achieve the expected results within SLAs
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with customer stakeholders and cross-functional teams by effectively understanding the business requirements
  • Experience with Project management and financial management with complex business challenges.
