Job Summary: Responsible for all necessary functions associated with the acquisition of capital projects and equipment. Supports current and recommends new standardization efforts relating to equipment for the health system. Reviews industry trade reports which relate to equipment comparisons of function, service and reliability to ensure the health system, physicians and users are aware of new technologies and their implications to patient care. Recommends alternative sources for cost reduction opportunities when available. Researched refurbished or demo sources for cost reduction opportunities. Education: Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience Preferred: Experience: Required: 5 Years Progressive Healthcare contracts negotiation Preferred: Healthcare experience Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: Preferred: CMRP, Proficient use of Excel, Word, Power Point, PeopleSoft ERP Department Position Summary: Job Summary: Responsible for all necessary functions associated with the acquisition of capital project and equipment.
