Description The Capital Campaign Director will lead the Y’s property development program while actively building the pipeline that fuels it, getting out into the community, opening doors, securing meetings, and moving prospects toward investment. We are seeking a go-getter who can develop relationships quickly and leverage existing ties to the Gallatin Valley community and its philanthropic donors. This role owns the execution of the campaign from day one—managing daily operations, identifying and researching prospects, coordinating staff and volunteer efforts, and driving consistent follow-up. The Director will lead donor engagement through targeted outreach, solicitations, and events, managing a campaign that launches in a silent phase before expanding broadly in Fall 2026. Lead day-to-day campaign management by maintaining 100% up-to-date donor records within 48 hours of each interaction and delivering weekly campaign reports, ensuring accurate tracking of progress toward campaign goals. Leverage existing community and donor relationships to expand YMCA awareness by securing 4–5 qualified introductions per week to the CEO and VP of Youth Development, coordinating and scheduling meetings, and ensuring 100% follow-up within 48 hours to advance engagement and next steps. Lead development of major funding proposals by creating and presenting 4–6 customized proposals to foundations, major donors, and institutional funders; partner with the in-house grant writer to build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of 10–15 qualified funding sources for this project. Work with Marketing Coordinator to strategize and develop recognition events to ensure that cultivation and stewardship targets are maximized i.e. Give Big and MOM Draft, revise, and coordinate the production of all campaign materials, including plans, manuals, and training materials. Provide support for campaign leadership and volunteers. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 21 years or older Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred with at least 10 years of relevant experience with proven track record in fundraising $3MM+ and relationship management. Previous experience developing and implementing fundraising strategies, estate planning/endowment strengthening and annual campaigns. Understanding of non-profit operations and fundraising best practices. Proficiency in event management, with strong project and budget planning, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Self-starter with a strong collaborative work ethic and ability to work independently. Outgoing, professional, personable, resourceful, and calm under pressure. Flexibility to work a varied schedule that will include some evening and weekend duties. Proficient with standard PC computer software, including MS Word, Excel, Adobe products, internet applications and e-mail. Ability to thrive within a fast-paced non-profit environment.
