Description *Due to being an in-plant position, the below referenced job duties have been provided by the client: Role Summary: The Capital Project Construction Scheduler develops, maintains, and analyzes project schedules for large scale capital construction programs. This role ensures that planning, sequencing, and progress tracking support on time, on budget delivery while giving project leaders clear visibility into risks, constraints, and opportunities. Key Responsibilities: •Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout phases. •Create detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and activity logic that accurately reflect project scope, sequencing, and resource needs. •Monitor schedule performance, track progress, and update activities based on field reports, contractor input, and project team feedback. •Analyze schedule impacts related to design changes, procurement delays, field conditions, and contractor performance. •Prepare schedule reports and dashboards including critical path analysis, look ahead schedules, variance reports, and recovery plans. •Collaborate with project managers, construction managers, estimators, and contractors to align schedule expectations and resolve conflicts. •Integrate cost and schedule data with project controls teams to support forecasting, earned value analysis, and performance measurement. •Ensure compliance with organizational scheduling standards, procedures, and reporting requirements. •Participate in planning meetings, progress reviews, and site visits to validate schedule assumptions and field conditions. •Produce resource curves for projecting manpower (monthly). •Maintain “Construction Progress Reports” tracking budgeted KMQ’s vs installed KMQ’s. •Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: •Experience developing and managing schedules for capital construction projects (industrial, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, or similar). •Proficiency with Primavera P6. •Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. •Strong understanding of construction sequencing, field operations, and project delivery methods. •Ability to perform critical path method (CPM) scheduling and interpret schedule analytics. •Experience working with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) workflows. •Strong communication skills for presenting schedule information to technical and non technical stakeholders. •Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: •Strong Primavera P6 knowledge (certificate, professional, advanced) •10+ years of experience scheduling Capital Projects in an industrial setting •Familiarity with large capital projects ($500M–$150MM+). •Knowledge of interpreting contractor schedules for incorporating into P6 Success Profile: A successful scheduler in this role is analytical, detail oriented, and proactive. They anticipate risks before they materialize, communicate clearly with field and office teams, and maintain schedules that serve as reliable tools for decision making. Requirements ReCon’s Job Description & Requirements: Education and Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), with additional specialized training or college course work. Physical Requirements: Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding. Ability to walk on even and uneven surfaces. Ability to wear PPE including fire retardant clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, respirator. Ability to enter confined spaces. Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year. Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break. Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted. Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection. Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time. Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear. Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license. Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.
