HEALTHCARE KNOWLEDGE:
You have:
- Knowledge of data collection, information management, statistical analysis, and reporting best practices.
- Familiarity of epidemiology principles and related research methodology, and an understanding of forecasting methodology, and biostatistics as they apply to health system planning.
- Experience working with hospital and health service provider data systems.
- Knowledge of Ontario’s healthcare system, including service delivery, governance, funding, and the role of Ontario Health.
- Familiarity with the Health Based Allocation Model (HBAM) and its use in forecasting health system needs.
ANALYTICAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS:
You have:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Planning and organizational skills to manage and analyze health care information from various sources.
- Experience conducting research and analysis to support financial strategies, funding models, and best practices.
COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION SKILLS:
You have:
- Strong communication skills to explain data findings, provide updates, and make recommendations.
- Experience advising senior leaders on health service planning and forecasting.
- Interpersonal and teamwork skills to work effectively across teams and contribute to committees.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
You have:
- Experience with computer programming and statistical techniques.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and database tools like Excel and Access.
- The ability to interpret legislation such as Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) to ensure data reporting compliance.
