Join Utah Housing Corporation (UHC) in West Valley City as a Capital Markets Analyst and play a key role in managing our financial operations in our Capital Markets Department. This position offers a hybrid work schedule with a salary between $60,500 and $80,000, depending on experience and education.
As the Capital Markets Analyst, you’ll assist in specialized hedging operations by monitoring daily loan production, recommending trades, and analyzing market conditions to set daily interest rates. You’ll track servicing values, participate in investor relations by maintaining partnerships with GNMA, FNMA, Freddie Mac, and broker/dealers, and conduct counterparty reviews. Managing best execution strategies, you’ll analyze loan characteristics, organize pools, and facilitate bidding for loan sales. You’ll also be responsible for MBS securitization, preparing and certifying loan pools, and overseeing the process for selling whole loans to investors.
Your work will extend to debt management, where you’ll help prepare official statements and legal documents for mortgage revenue bonds, monitor tax-exempt compliance, track volume cap and bond authority, and assist with maintaining bond ratings. In cash management, you’ll monitor funding needs for mortgage purchases, manage cash advance requests, and ensure proper capital allocation from mortgage revenue bonds. Financial reporting will also be a key responsibility, requiring you to analyze data, prepare investor disclosures, and assist in regulatory reporting for rating agencies, financial advisors, and government entities.
Success in this role requires the ability to apply general accounting policies and procedures to fiscal assignments, reconcile reports, and analyze financial data and system-generated reports. You’ll need strong problem-solving skills to identify underlying trends, use logic to develop solutions, and make informed decisions. Utilizing automated accounting systems, you’ll research financial information, generate reports, and provide key insights for decision-making.
We’re looking for someone with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field-or equivalent experience-who thrives in financial analysis, problem-solving, and data management. Strong skills in Excel, databases, and business intelligence software are essential.
