About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Capital Markets Counsel in the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Markets Section of the Legal Department. This position will provide legal advice and transactional support to the banking and capital markets business in Singapore and the broader Asia-Pacific region (APAC), with emphasis on capital markets (debt, fixed income, M&A), derivatives, structured finance, and credit transactions. This role will support senior legal advisors and business clients, assisting with regulatory issues, transactional documentation, and risk management. Responsibilities: Legal support for OTC derivatives across global markets, with a focus on APAC. Legal coverage of derivatives documentation, structuring, and execution in support of sales and trading desks. Secondary coverage of repo and securities financing transactions for institutional and private banking clients. Support for client onboarding, due diligence, and contractual assurance. Legal analysis of financial regulatory requirements applicable to covered products. Support for netting, collateral, and capital optimization frameworks. Ongoing legal support for traded products execution and documentation. Required Qualifications: 4+ years of Law experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. Active State Bar membership or the equivalent in a country outside the United States. Desired Qualifications: Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Singapore, Hong Kong, England, the United States, or other common-law jurisdictions. Approximately 4-7 years of experience practicing law with a major law firm or financial services organization. Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating OTC derivatives documentation (ISDA and CSA). Working knowledge of repo and securities financing documentation (GMRA, GMSLA). Familiarity with regulatory margin requirements. Experience with OTC confirmations, NDAs, EMTN pricing supplements, and hedging‑related documentation.
