Company Description Novotel Cairo Airport hotel is a 4-star hotel located just 5 minutes from the airport and 22 KM from downtown Cairo. The hotel offers a beautiful balance of convenience and comfort with modern soundproofed rooms, a courtyard, pool, and all-day dining options. Job Description The Captain is responsible for supervision of restaurant operations, ensuring guest satisfaction through prompt, courteous service, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation. The role supports the F&B Asst Head Waiter in daily tasks and leads the team in their absence. Key Responsibilities: Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow. Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and ensure timely food and beverage service. Monitor staff performance and provide guidance and training when necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, service stations, and equipment. Ensure adherence to hotel brand standards, hygiene regulations, and safety protocols. Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly. Assist in inventory control, stock management, and requisitioning of supplies. Coordinate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure excellent service delivery. Support the Asst. Head-Waiter in administrative duties such as scheduling, shift reports, and team briefings. Promote upselling and ensure guests are aware of promotions or specials. Qualifications Diploma or certification in Hospitality or related field preferred. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within a 4 or 5-star hotel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge of food and beverage service techniques. Ability to work under pressure and manage a team. Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus. Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Additional Information Fast-paced hotel restaurant environment. Standing for extended periods. May be exposed to varying temperatures and noise levels.
