Description
The pilot in command (PIC) of an aircraft is directly responsible for and is the final authority as to the operation, safety, and security of that aircraft and the safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo on board from the moment the engine(s) are started until the helicopter finally comes to rest at the end of the flight, with the engine(s) shut down, and the rotor blades stopped.
Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command is directly responsible for and holds final authority over the operation, safety, and security of the aircraft and everyone on board from engine start until the aircraft is fully secured post-flight. This responsibility covers all crew members, passengers, and cargo throughout the entire duration of the flight.
