Job Description
Passionate about the Food & Beverage, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our food & beverage experience. As a Captain, you are responsible to provide professional and customer focused service to our Guests, ensuring their stay will become a memorable experience. Additionally, you need to assist the outlet manager to run the outlet smoothly.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in hotel industry is preferred
  • Excellence in strategic leadership and team management
  • Creative and passionate about food and customer service
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment

VISA REQUIREMENTS:

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises the activities of the Waiters and Busboys in assigned area
  • Perform all necessary tasks to service Food & Beverage according to the standard of performance manual of the Hotel
  • Acquire in depth knowledge of the Food & Beverage menu of the assigned Outlet in order to assist and provide advice to Guests
  • Practice good customer relations and attend to customer complaints and queries satisfactorily
  • Ensure the Outlet is set-up for service and supervise for a smooth operation
  • Direct and supervise the service team to ensure that all duties are performed as per standards
  • Ensure that all Employees have received adequate training to perform their duties
  • Ensure proper organization, planning and control of supplies and maintain concise record of all beverage stock in order to ensure that the required is available
  • Checks the mise en place prior and after the operation
  • Coordinates with the Headwaiter or Outlet Manager to plan and conduct skills training constantly.
  • Performs other duties assigned by his / her supervisor
