PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY is to ensure the safety of Club Members and Guests by preventing and responding
to emergencies.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

 Valid Transport Canada Captains’ License (60-ton ticket) - MANDATORY
 Valid Marine Basic First Aid CPR/AED Level C
 Valid Marine Basic – Transport Canada
 Valid Marine Physical
 Availability to work Weekends, Holidays and Evenings

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

 Strong Observational Skills
 Excellent level of Concentration
 Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations = Strong Communication skills
 Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
 Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
 Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
 Experience dealing with the general public and handling discipline situations with courtesy and fairness

 Ensure safe boarding and disembarking of passengers
 Maintain constant surveillance of waters, members and guests on board tenders
 Log departure time, passenger counts, and any unusual occurrences. Ensure appropriate headcount of
members and guests so as not to exceed legal limits
 Perform and maintain boat safety logs
 Follow safety procedures to ensure the protection of passengers and vessel
 Proactively identify hazards or potential hazards and take measures to prevent accidents
 Handle lines to moor vessels to the docks
 Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all common areas on the tenders as well as the docks and
surrounding areas
 Sweep, mop, and wash down decks and exterior to remove dirt, and debris
 Assist with loading and unloading of deliveries
 Present professional appearance and attitude at all times.
 Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards
 Positive attitude
 Provide high standard of member and guest service
