EXPERIENCE

Candidates should have:

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a similar role
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Experience in equipment repair and maintenance tasks
  • Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of the job requirements
  • MOT Tester

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicles, including cars and light commercial vehicles
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and disassembly of vehicle components
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle safety
  • Repair or replace damaged parts, including engines, brakes, and electrical systems
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle’s condition and necessary repairs
  • Assist in heavy lifting when required for equipment repair or vehicle servicing
  • Perform welding tasks as needed for structural repairs
