OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for vehicle maintenance and repair. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles are safe and functioning optimally. The successful applicant will also demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as they will interact with clients to explain repairs and provide recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical documents.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Experience in assembly tasks related to automotive components.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting when required during repairs or maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive issues using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Use hand tools, (own tools is a necessity)power tools, and specialised equipment for repairs and assembly of automotive parts.
  • Conduct equipment repair and maintenance to ensure all machinery is in proper working order.
  • Carry out asks as required for vehicle bodywork or structural repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle’s condition, required repairs, and maintenance services.
  • Assist in heavy lifting of automotive parts or equipment as necessary.
