Description
Operates sophisticated equipment and provides patient care during catheterization procedures. Assists physician in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations. Performs and interprets hemodynamic waveforms and electrocardiographic tracings. Operates and assures appropriate maintenance of fluorographic, digital image recording, laser and electrophysiology equipment. Develops quality control policies and procedures. Monitors quality control program. Trains staff cardiac technologists, fellows and nursing staff in various aspects of equipment function and safety procedures. Maintains inventory control systems and maintains computer reports. Education Associate's Degree in Radiologic Studies Required Non Degree Program Approved Cardiovascular Technology Program Required or Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required Experience 3 years experience as a cardiac cath or interventional radiology technologist Required Licenses Advanced Cardiac Life Support Required Amer Reg Radiologic Technlgst Required or Reg Cardio Invasive Specialist Required Basic Life Support Required
