Please enter info here Qualifications EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from accredited radiologic technology program. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: ARRT orBoard eligible, New MexicoState licensure required. BLS certification required. For recent graduates, BLS certification required within six months of hire. ACLS obtained within the first year. SKILLS: Thorough knowledge of associated radiographic equipment, neurologic and cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology and basic computer skills. Thorough knowledge of interventional procedures in Cardiology and Radiology preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. EXPERIENCE: A graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program. One year radiologic experience preferred. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Manager, Cath Lab ENVIRONMENT: - Bloodborne pathogen C Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation. Works in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment. Subject to stressful professional relationships. Working hours are varied, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.     .
Responsibilities
The role involves operating associated radiographic equipment and applying thorough knowledge of cardiovascular and neurologic anatomy and physiology during procedures. Responsibilities include adherence to safety protocols regarding bloodborne pathogens and ionizing radiation exposure.
