Job Description The Cardiac Catheterization Technician assists physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures by performing technical and patient care tasks in the Cath Lab. This role ensures equipment readiness, supports complex cardiovascular procedures, and maintains safe and efficient patient care operations. Responsibilities: Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures Support procedures such as coronary stenting, PTCA, atherectomy, peripheral angioplasty, carotid angiograms, iliac angiograms, renal angiograms, and triple lumen catheter placements Prepare and operate specialized Cath Lab equipment and imaging systems Monitor patient condition during procedures and assist with preparation and post-procedure care Maintain sterile fields and follow infection control protocols Perform documentation and manage Cath Lab supplies and inventory Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow Qualifications Required Education: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: Associate’s Degree or equivalent coursework (minimum 62 semester hours) in health science, natural science, nursing, engineering, or related field with one year of Invasive Cardiovascular Technology experience. Bachelor’s degree in health science, natural science, nursing, engineering, or related field with six months of Invasive Cardiovascular Technology experience. Graduate of an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program. Graduate of a non-accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program with at least one year of specialty training and a minimum of 800 clinical hours.
