Responsibilities The Monitor Technician Intern works under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) or experienced Monitor Tech, learning how to analyze and interpret rhythm strips, provide on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors/remote telemetry and provide RN's and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Qualifications REQUIRED High school diploma, equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification PREFERRED Knowledge of basic cardiac anatomy/physiology and medical terminology. Previous health care experience. Work Hours: 7A-7:30P Weekend Requirements: Yes- Rotating Basis On-Call Requirements: No

Responsibilities

The Monitor Technician Intern will analyze and interpret rhythm strips while providing ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors. They will notify RNs or clinicians of any changes in cardiac rhythms.
