Description
Under general supervision, follows established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. Responsible for monitoring and identifying basic normal cardiac rhythms, dysrhythmias, and lethal arrhythmias; reporting these findings to the appropriate personnel, and rhythm documentation and labeling per TGH policy. Promotes and maintains patient support including but not limited to: interprets and post rhythm strips and protocol, performs 12 lead EKGs. Maintain and clean portable telemetry monitors between patient use according to manufacturer's guidelines. Education High School Diploma or GED Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross Work Experience Basic EKG class and demonstration of competency through testing.
