Description We’re seeking experienced and compassionate Heart & Vascular Registered Nurses to join the Emory University Hospital (EUH) Heart & Vascular Talent Pool. With one application, you’ll be considered for RN roles across multiple high-acuity cardiac, vascular, and cardiothoracic units within our nationally recognized Heart & Vascular teams. As an RN Clinician, you’ll deliver patient- and family-centered care using the AACN Synergy Model while caring for complex cardiovascular and surgical populations. You’ll collaborate with expert interdisciplinary teams in award-winning specialty units and practice in an environment that supports learning, growth, and professional advancement. Heart & Vascular Units Represented in This Talent Pool 4G – Cardiac Unit (24 beds) Advanced HF, ACS, dysrhythmias, valvular disease LVAD, congenital heart, structural heart & EP procedures Telemetry, IV therapy, blood administration, sheath removal 4B-N – Heart & Vascular Moderate Care / Observation (12 beds) Supports CICU, CVICU, 6E, 8E, and 4G Critical care patients awaiting ICU/step-down placement Same-day cardiovascular procedures needing monitoring Ideal for building strong critical thinking and assessment skills 6E – Cardiovascular Surgical Unit (24 beds) Heart transplant, CABG, valve surgeries, thoracic/aneurysm repairs Manages VADs, chest tubes, pacing wires, surgical wounds, infusions Recognized for exceptional interprofessional collaboration 8E – Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery Step-Down (24 beds) + 6B Rollins Concierge Medical-Surgical Unit (6 beds) Lung transplant, thoracic and abdominal aneurysm repairs, post-valve surgeries Chest tubes, epidurals, PCAs, trachs, cardiac drips, pulmonary HTN therapy Consistent 90th+ percentile Patient Excellence scores; Beacon Award recipient 7E – Cardiac Unit (23 beds) Advanced HF, LVADs, pacemakers, pre/post-cardiology procedures COPD, GI bleed, pneumonia, electrolyte and renal/hepatic disorders Insulin drips, trachs, PD, chest tubes, complex pain management MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of an accredited prelicensure BSN program with 12 months of recent nursing experienceOR Graduate of an accredited ADN program with a minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience Exceptions: Emory LPNs who complete an accredited RN program and obtain RN licensure may transition into this role through the RN Resident Program Emory LPNs enrolled in an ADN program as of 3/30/2025 must sign an agreement to complete a BSN within two years of entering this role Required License: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license (Georgia Board of Nursing) Certifications: BLS required ACLS and department-specific certifications may be required post-hire By applying to this position, you are expressing interest in joining the Cardiac Registered Nurse / RN – Heart & Vascular Talent Pool at Emory Healthcare.
