ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Technologist Grade 2 to join our high-performing, specialized cardiac unit. This casual position is ideal for a cardiac sonographer who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
You will be working alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and supportive environment that values clinical excellence and continuous learning.
In this role, you will contribute across a range of Cardiac Physiology and Technology services, with a strong focus on performing high-quality cardiac ultrasound examinations. You will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in assessing patients with complex cardiac conditions, ensuring accurate diagnostics and contributing to optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities
  • Improve and maintain the health of the residents of the Bankstown Local Government Area, through the provision of quality, accessible and appropriate acute and chronic health services, which are orientated to improved health outcomes and evidence-based practice.
  • Independently perform and issue preliminary reports for cardiac ultrasounds.
  • Communicate with other hospital staff about results of ultrasound studies.
  • Assist with other duties in cardiac diagnostics as needed.
  • Cultivate the development of staff to achieve a learning and teaching organizational culture.
