POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Cardiology Technologist, you will play a vital role in our cardiology department by performing a variety of cardiovascular tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and management of heart disease.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Regulated by the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist (CMRITO formerly CMRTO)
  • They may be members of a professional association (Sonography Canada), but it is not mandatory.
  • We are looking for candidates who are proficient in operating cardiology equipment, possess strong attention to detail, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • This full-time position offers a Monday to Friday schedule, with daytime hours typically between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm.
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to accurately read and interpret results from cardiac data.We value professional development and seek individuals with a demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.

Responsibilities
  • Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs), Holter monitoring, and other cardiovascular tests.
  • Conduct stress tests and assist with exercise testing.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
  • Monitor patients during testing and respond to any emergencies.
  • Record and analyze test results, providing accurate data for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care.
