WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Medi-Share Inc is seeking a permanent part-time Registered Adult Cardiac Sonographer to work in our Welland Location.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, graduate of an accredited educational program in Cardiac Sonography
  • Current registration with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) and/or Sonography Canada
  • Current active member with CMRITO(College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario)
  • Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills as relates to patient care
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrated commitment to and involvement with own profession (e.g. membership with professional association, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with IV insertion and contrast echo an asset, but willing provide education and training
  • Strong communication skills, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a hospital and clinic environment
    Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
    Pay: $39.00-$41.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Able to work independently, and collaborate with interprofessional teams
  • Produce high quality cardiac diagnostic medical images. These images must meet or exceed the standards set out by CorHealth.
  • Produce a clear preliminary report for interpreting physicians while meeting or exceeding the standards set out by CorHealth.
  • A Sonographer who holds a strong patient focus. Verbally instructing the patient of the examination and guides the patient verbally throughout to ensure the patient is comfortable for the duration of the exam.
  • Keep a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation. Including proper care of machine, probes, and maintenance logs.
  • Demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional development in order to continue to provide optimal patient care
