As a Cardio Renal Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing AstraZeneca's Cardiorenal portfolio. This strategic commercial position involves developing local account plans to enhance treatment and prevention of heart failure (HF) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) through the uptake of our innovative medicines. You'll be responsible for the commercial performance of your accounts, leading market access initiatives, and building strategic relationships with key partners such as Nephrologists, Cardiologists, and Key External Experts. Your efforts will support the transition of care from secondary to primary settings, ensuring that patients receive the best possible outcomes. Accountabilities Deliver sales targets for allocated brands. Develop and put into action business plans for the region, showcasing both short- and long-term planning. Establish strong local prescribing advocacy with healthcare professionals and key external experts. Mobilize key external experts to drive positive change in prescribing behaviour among peers. Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with key partners to optimize local patient care for CKD and HF. Ensure local guidelines are updated in line with NICE and integrated into local CKD/HF guidelines. Drive implementation of local guidelines into hospital protocols. Increase awareness and implementation of local formulary and guidelines to ensure optimal patient access. Identify potential barriers to prescribing and work with cross-functional partners to implement aligned action plans. Maintain high levels of clinical, therapy area, and environmental knowledge. Use approved promotional and non-promotional resources to support customer account objectives. Collaborate with broader CVRM field teams to meet customer and business objectives. Implement commercial and project-based offerings as required by the business. Ensure compliance with all governance policies and adherence to the ABPI Code of Practice. Manage budget within +/- 3%. Essential Skills/Experience Account management experience & development of account plans Secondary care sales experience Track record of engaging key partners in complex clinical environments, e.g., mid and senior level healthcare professionals, key accounts and the medical community Proven track record in influencing the partner decision-making process in an ecosystem with multiple influential players / decision makers, with proven track record of crafting value in complex DMU or equivalent experience Proven demonstration of successful working in complex cross functional teams Business management, commercial foresight and financially analytical & conversant Demonstrable ability to negotiate at business-to-business level Desirable Skills/Experience Current knowledge and experience of AZ designated territory and customers Experience of influencing successfully in a complex organisation Proven track record of launching secondary care medicine/worked in an environment with rapidly shifting clinical and treatment paradigms Sales in CVRM products Therapy Area knowledge When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
