Dept: Non-Invasive Cardiology Schedule: Days Hours per pay period: 80 Position Summary: Under general supervision, performs functions prior to and following cardiovascular procedures in Non-Invasive Cardiology (NIC), CCL, and Cardiac Rehabilitation departments. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 1 Performs routine procedures for proper patient care, including but not limited to patient preparation pre-procedure/testing, ECG’s, vital signs, and data entry into computer system. 2 Assists with clerical functions in departments such as chart preparation, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and data look-up in computer. 3 Performs all routine and stat 12-lead and 15-lead ECG’s for inpatient units, and outpatient departments as needed. 4 Assists with completion of ECG quality assurance reports for the ED department. 5 Performs quality assurance tests on hemodynamic/physiologic monitoring equipment, oximetry and coagulation equipment. 6 Stocks and cleans all ECG carts. 7 Ensures ECG graphs are transmitted and there is an order for each ECG, deletes duplicate graphs, and notifies leadership of unresolved issues. 8 Looks up stress orders for the next day, filling out work sheets, adding patient history, adding patient to work board and logging patient into stress book. 9 Adheres to all regulatory and safety standards. 10 May perform Holter Monitor testing on patients if appropriately trained. 11 Performs other related job duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma or GED Formal education or training beyond High School, specifically, successful completion of a Cardiovascular Technologist, Paramedic or Medical Assistant program BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent, is required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date. CCT certification (Certified Cardiographic Technician) or acquired within 1 year of hire
