Suit an early career Cardiologist to supplement a part-time Fellowship/PhD or public hospital appointment. The Role Macquarie University Health (MU Health) is seeking a Fellow or early career Cardiologist to join out Cardiology team. In this role, you will provide clinical consultation and support to essential chest pain assessment services we provide at our partnered WiSE Specialist Medical Centre. With a steady stream of referrals and being involved in a fast-moving and busy practice, this is a unique opportunity for Fellow/early career cardiologist to work at MU Health and experience key benefits such as: Be mentored in their sub-specialty interest of choice and work directly alongside experienced and highly regarded senior clinicians. Collaborate with groups across MU Health to participate in research projects. Be exposed to and involved in world class cardiac electrophysiology, cardiac imaging and structural heart programs and multidisciplinary teams. Key Accountabilities include (Not limited to): Provide a clinical consultation service to cardiology outpatients at the WiSE clinic and MU Health Rouse Hill Liaise and work effectively with other MU Health cardiologists and allied health professionals involved in patient care. Work with referrers and within the MU Health service standards to ensure an exceptional experience for patients and referrers. If required, present at and represent MU Health at relevant internal and external conferences, grand rounds, and similar sessions in support of advancing the academic mission of MU Health. Completion of cardiology advanced training requirements and demonstrated excellence in clinical cardiology Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders including patients and other health professionals. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Knowledge of and commitment to continuous improvement, evidence-based practice and promoting a culture of safety, quality, innovation and best practice in clinical practice, teaching and research.
