Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the Cardiology team in Hilo. The candidate will work alongside cardiologists and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality cardiovascular care in inpatient and outpatient settings. Key Responsibilities • Conduct patient evaluations, histories, and physical exams for cardiology patients • Manage and monitor common cardiovascular conditions: hypertension, CAD, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, hyperlipidemia • Order and interpret diagnostic tests: EKGs, Holter monitors, echocardiograms, stress tests • Assist in care coordination for procedures or specialty referrals • Provide inpatient consults and follow-ups (if applicable) • Participate in hospital rounds, discharge planning, and transitions of care • Educate patients and families on lifestyle, medications, and disease management • Collaborate with supervising cardiologists, primary care providers, and staff Requirements • Current, unrestricted Hawaii license as NP or PA, or eligibility • National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) • BLS and ACLS certification • 1–2 years cardiology or internal medicine experience preferred; strong new graduates considered • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • EMR experience preferred (Epic or equivalent) Benefits • 38 days paid time off annually • Signing bonus including relocation assistance • 401(k) with employer match • CME reimbursement • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision (employee, spouse, dependents) • Loan repayment options available
