Description

Ensures financial clearance and reimbursement for services provided to PH/PTE patients and other Cardiology patients as assigned. Reviews and validates summary reports on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. Serves as an advocate in all matters related to the financial aspects of the Cardiology patients with a focus on PH and PTE. Acts as a liaison for providers as well as patients with insurance carriers. Education Bachelors Degree (Required) Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience 2 Years experience in health care billing (Preferred) General Experience with IDX and SMS (Preferred) General Experience with procedure and diagnosis coding. (Preferred) General Experience with transplant billing/program operation. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

The Cardiology Financial Coordinator ensures financial clearance and reimbursement for services provided to patients. They also review and validate summary reports regularly and act as a liaison between providers, patients, and insurance carriers.
