A Brief Overview The cardiographic technician assists in the acquisition of data, relative to age-specific needs, by performing EKG, SAE independently. What You Will Do Performs duties related to the application and interpretation of Holter and Event Monitoring. Assists with clerical duties, billing and information. Assists with administration of Exercise/Pharmacologic stress testing. Consistently follows hospital and department guidelines for patient identification and safety. Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements. Maintains a responsibility for self-development with support for the learning environment of the Hospital and the department of Cardiology Collaborates effectively with co-workers and staff to ensure that assignments are completed in a professional and effective manner. Displays a commitment to Hospital mission and values Provides age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Education High School Equivalent / GED (Required) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Demonstrated proficiency in arrhythmia recognition; effective problem solving and communication skills (Required proficiency) Must demonstrate effective organizational, written and oral communication skills. (Required proficiency) Basic computer skills; 12 lead EKG machines; experience with Holter and Event monitoring.
