Overview Job Summary: Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital’s mission, vision and values. Procedures recordings of electromotive variations in patient’s heart muscle, using electrocardiograph (EKG), to provide data for diagnosis Responsibilities Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions 1. Performs cardiology diagnostic testing to include: electrocardiograms, holter monitors, event monitors, ambulatory blood pressure monitors, and/or graded exercise tests. 2. Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly. Inspects cardiology equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly. Reports all malfunctions. 3. Consults with physicians as required regarding collection of test data and critical test results. 4. Processes test in the MUSE system, and manages the distribution of EKG interpretations. Ensure charges for procedures are complete and accurate. 5. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team concerning interventions, discharge needs and patient education. 6. Completes other duties or task as assigned. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED. BLS certified Experience: Not mandatory. 1-2 years experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Perform cardiology diagnostic tests including EKGs and monitor recordings to provide data for physician diagnosis. Manage cardiology equipment and process test results through the MUSE system while collaborating with the healthcare team.
