Join Our Community! ANCC Magnet designated UPMC Passavant is currently hiring a Full-Time Cardiology Technician II to support the McCandless location. Shift Details: 6am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday Every third weekend and holidays are as assigned Shifts will be further discussed during the interview Responsibilities: Utilize the Cardiology and Management System, Information System effectively to ensure accurate departmental data, such as reports , statistics and patient information. Assist in student teaching and orientation. Light clerical duties. Perform Exercise Stress Testing, and evaluate EKG rhythms on Holter recordings. Participate in a performance improvement program and implement methods of Improvement. Obtain quality EKG's while following hospital and patient protocols. Recognize and documents all patient information related to patient care. Transcription of cardiology services reports. Work between Cardiology and Central Monitoring addressing each labs needs for a Technician. Complete daily transcriptions. Hook up Flex monitor and maintain equipment. Demonstrates individualized care for each patient. Take responsibility for personal performance improvement. High School graduate. Completion of a Medical Assistant program, Cardiology Technician programs or 1-year supervised training in a Cardiology Department required. Microsoft word, Transcription, Basic and Advance arrhythmia class through a continuing education course with documentation of completion 1-year of supervised Stress Test and Holter scanning in a Cardiology department required. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 30 days of hire Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal Act 33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
